What to Expect
Following initial contact and or referral, we will arrange an appointment time and date for an initial assessment for clinical psychological services. This is usually between 1-2 hours duration.
Neuropsychological appointments and Mental injury Assessments are of longer duration, and variable depending on individual presentation/requirements, anything up to 5 hours. During this time, there will be a clinical interview, followed by a psychometric testing session. The neuropsychologist will score and analyse all data/results, and generate a comprehensive report. There is also opportunity for a follow up appointment with the clinician to discuss and review the report.
Clients are recommended to bring any prescription reading glasses or hearing aids if applicable, and are best prepared by arriving on time and being as well rested as possible. Caregivers and or support persons are welcome to provide support and or collateral information (as necessary).
If an Interpreter is required please inform your ACC case worker and or discuss this with Monarch staff.
